101 in 1001
I was inspired by Kiki at Yogademia and all the folks at Day Zero to create a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. I thought it would be a good idea to launch the blog with this list as the things on it describe who I am and what I am passionate about. I decided to begin the project today because it is exactly one year today since the last time that I was sexually assaulted. I have spent the last year putting myself back together and I want to spend the next 2.5 thriving and creating the life I want to live. "She was no longer a slow dreamer watching the flowers grow. She was a warrior now. Warriors need something to fight for, though, besides their lives, because otherwise their lives will not be worth it." Francesca Lia Block 66. Great list! I might copy some of your intentions!
I like the idea to write a book from the point of view of 'mindfully healing from abuse'. The novel I am writing is based on a true story of abuse. It's a story that it's burning to be told. I hope I can do it and do it well.
I also love the video you posted and especially the final quote.

Thank you Vienna. Feel free to copy as many of my intentions as you want.
I think it is great that you are writing a novel about a true abuse story. I think abuse is one of those things that needs to be written about and talked about.
As for the video, it is by Angela Shelton. She is an amazing woman who fights abuse on all levels. You can find out more about her and see more of her videos on her website at http://www.angelashelton.com

I am so honored to have been part of the inspiration for you to start writing more regularly. Your list is beautiful - the quotes that begin each section perfectly sum up each "chapter" of your goals. So much goodness here!
What would you think about looking into doing our trainings at Kripalu together in summer 2010? I'd love to be there with a kindred spirit.

Kiki, thank you so much for your lovely comments on my list. You really have inspired me to write more.
Doing yoga training together at Kripalu in the summer of 2010 sounds like a great idea that just might work. It really would be nice to be there with a kindred spirit.
