What do you wish to acknowledge?

This was a very timely question for me. Just yesterday it was brought up to me three times that I never really acknowledge myself and tend to dismiss all of the things I do that should get some acknowledgment. Because I am really bad at acknowledging things, I decided to make this a question that I grappled with during my morning pages. Here is my answer:
I wish to acknowledge myself for my bravery.
I wish to acknowledge myself for recognizing and leaving an abusive situation.
I wish to acknowledge myself for taking the steps to begin the healing process.
I wish to acknowledge myself for making self-care a priority.
I wish to acknowledge myself for fighting for justice.

You are brave, sometimes its hard to see that from the scared inside us...
Those of us who realized that we were not being treated well and made the effort to leave the sitations (even if it took several false starts) are truely courageous people... and just remember that even when we feel weak, we are strong enough to get through, and we are showing others the way... :)
