The Joy Diet- Beginning


Today is the kick off of Next Chapter Book Club by the lovely Jamie Ridler for the book The Joy Diet. Written by Martha Beck The Joy Diet outlines ten menu itens that you can add to your daily routine for more joy happiness.

Here are the ten menu items:

  • Nothing
  • Truth
  • Desire
  • Creativity
  • Risk
  • Treats
  • Play
  • Laughter
  • Connection
  • Feasting
Up first is doing nothing. Or rather dedicating fifteen minutes a day to being still. I think this is going to be quite a challenge for me as I have a difficult time sitting still for anything. But it is definitely a challenge that I am up to.

I am so excited to be joining in on all this fun. It is so amazing to watch all those who did the Wreck This Journal blogging last time around. Now it will be fun to join in on all the fun and watch this process as it happens.

    Doing this as a group will make it that much more fulfilling. I read the book years ago and loved it but now I'm looking forward to taking it apart chapter, by chapter. Off to do nothing!! :)
